Setup happens once whether we run one part or a hundred, so per-unit pricing drops at the breaks. And quantity 1 is always welcome — the shop was built around small jobs.
Material
A keychain in MDF and the same keychain in brass are different jobs. Stocked acrylics, woods, and metals cost less than special orders.
Machine time
Deep engraving, dense cut paths, and tall 3D prints take longer on the machine. Simpler geometry runs faster and costs less.
Finishing
Raw-cut parts are the baseline. Sanding, flame-polishing, paint fill, and assembly are line items — drop what you don’t need.
File readiness
A ready-to-cut vector or CAD file is the cheapest job we run. A sketch we redraw adds design time. Either is welcome — one just costs less.

How much does a prototype cost?
The Prototype Sprint is a flat $299: a functional prototype in 72 hours, 3D printed with laser-cut and UV-printed appearance parts, basic CAD tweaks, a material consult, and two iterations included. We run four sprint slots per month, so confirmed dates are real dates.
Why are your lightboxes so much cheaper than sign companies?
