How do I send legend text and plate sizes?
Any way your shop already works: a spreadsheet or CSV plate schedule with size, color, and legend columns; a DXF with plates drawn to size; or a photo of the existing plate you’re replacing. Mixed sizes, colors, and hole patterns run fine in one 10-pack. Layout setup is free, and you approve a digital proof of the full schedule before anything gets cut.
What are the plates made of, and will the legends hold up inside an enclosure?
They’re engraved 2-ply stock — the same material panel shops have specified for UL 508A builds for decades. The legend is laser-cut through the colored cap layer into the core, so the contrast is in the material itself: it can’t rub off, and it resists the oils, solvents, and vibration of industrial service. White/black, black/white, and red/white are standard; other 2-ply colors are quoted on request.
